How do I charge my powerpack?

You can charge your product with the supplied AC adapter for the larger capacity products like the XP4000, XP4001, XP8000, and XP18000. The XP1000 and XP2000 can be charged through a standard USB port on your laptop or desktop.

How long should it take to fully charge my powerpack?

Yes, you can recharge your XP2000 with any AC adapter between .5mA and 3mA without any impact to the battery life.

How do I charge My XP2000?

To charge your XP2000 you will first need to insert the USB tip of your charging cable into the output jack of your Netbook, Laptop, or PC. Then you connect the supplied Mini-USB Tip (Labeled CB04) to the other end of your charging cable. Then connect the tip to your XP2000. When all 4 LED lights remain on your Power Pack is fully charged and ready to be used.

time be changed due to different notebook brands?

The play time of XP18000 will depend on Notebook motherboard design, the size and brightness of
LCD panel, power consumption module as well as the functions you are using. Although most of the
notebook brands claim the power saving and long using hour, fro example, ASUS U series laptop
claimed using hour is 10hr, but the condition is WLAN/BT off, LCD brightness is 60 nit, SHE On, and
use Power 4 gear battery management software. If user turns on the Wifi and use some software
requires More CPU usage, the power consuming will raise and the using hour will drop sharply.
For 6hours play time, our test method is as below. The models we tested are Asus UL20A series
12-inch, and Asus EeePC
XP18000: Fully charged. (4hrs Charging time)
Laptop: Battery removed, Power On. WIFI on, USB drive connected.
The total average play time is about 5.8~6.0hr.

How do I find the correct Tip for my HP Laptop?

All HP laptops use the same input rating of 18.5V at 3.5A in order to be powered or charged. Though HP maintains the same rating for all their laptops, their adapters are not interchangeable due to the different sizes of the connector. For example, HP NC4000 and HP NC4400 have the same input rating 18.5V/3.5A, but since the connector for the NC4400 is much larger, it will not fit in the smaller charging port of the HP NC4000, and vice versa. While getting the rating information is important (output voltage & current of the adapter that works with the laptop), the connector size is the most important. Currently Energizer XPAL Power offers Tips in 3 different sizes listed below for almost all of HP laptops: AB03 Tip: Supports older HP laptops. AB12 Tip: Supports smaller size HP laptops. AB13 Tip: Supports the newest HP laptops. Note: AB03 through AB08 Tips are included in our XP8000N and XP18000 package.

I am an HP user and cannot find the correct Tip for my laptop in the XP8000N or XP18000 package. What should I do?

Use the following steps to help locate the correct Tip 1. First, check to see if AB03 through AB08 fits their HP laptop. a) AB03 should be the Tip that supports the HP laptop. If AB03 Tip does work than it is not necessary to order a Tip. b) If AB03 through AB08 Tips do not work then the customer should order AB12 Tip as part of our “Free Tips for Life� program. 2. If one of the Tips (AB03 through AB08) does fit, but does not power and charge the HP laptop then the customer should order AB13 Tip as part of our “Free Tip for Life� Program.

How do I find the correct Tip for my Dell Laptop?

All Dell laptops have the same DC jack size. The difficulty in finding the right Tip is that some Dell models have “safety logic� which prevents the use of 3rd party adapters. Why do the XP8000 and XP18000 have three outputs and what are they for?

Can the XP1000 or XP2000 be charged via A/C power if the adapter has a USB port? What would be the charge time via A/C?

Absolutely, yes. The typical USB standard output voltage is 5v and XP1000 & XP2000 input are 5v too. It will take around 2~3 hours to charge XP1000 fully and 4~5 hours to charge XP2000 fully.

Can I recharge XP1000 using an iPhone^® charger?

The iPhone^® charger has a USB cable so it should be able to charge your XPAL1000 through the USB port.

Why does a message show “this product cannot support our phone� on my iPhone^® while charging with the AP1500 with a USB cable of another brand other than Energizer’s?

AP1500 USB cable is “Works With iPhone� certified, which means it supports data transfer between iPhone^® and PC. It also means that there is minimal power loss during the charging process. Other brands may not support data transfer or may be inhibited by a higher power loss during charging process, this will cause the error message shown on iPhone^®.

Can Energizer Power Packs support Apple laptops?

The XP18000 can support the MacBook^® series of laptops from a power perspective, however we are still working with Apple^® to be able to provide a tip or connectivity solution.

What is the difference between the SP1000 and SP2000?

SP1000 - The SP1000 has the capability to be charged either with outdoor natural lighting or with artificial indoor lighting. It is also smaller than the SP2000 and can be used to charge cellphones, smart-phones, MP3 players and most digital cameras.

SP2000 - The SP2000 is a three panel solar battery that uses outdoor natural lighting to be charged. The three panel design allows for a faster charging time than the SP1000 and also contains twice the battery capacity as the SP1000. This allows it to hold a larger charge for your devices. It services the same devices as the SP1000.

What is the Willy cable?

The Willy cable is a step-down cable that reduces the voltage of the overall output and offers an economical solution for supporting the devices that require precise input rating and is out of our output port specification. For example, Asus netbook EeePC uses the input rating of 12 volts, and some of Toshiba laptops require 15 volts. In these cases, you will need Willy cable to work with Power Pack to power the device. You may find Willy cables in Tip Finder for the corresponding device.

Does my XP8000 need a Willy cable to power my ASUS EeePC?

The XP8000 has been upgraded to accommodate this particular voltage. You can check the label on the back of your Power Pack. If one of the ports shows "Output: DC 10.5V", then you WILL need a Willy cable-WI12 and tip-AB02, which are all included in WA01 package in Tip Finder for purchase. The Willy cable needs to plug in the 16-20V output for powering your EeePC. Please also read the user guide carefully before using the Willy cable. IMPORTANT: If the label on the back of the Power Pack shows "Output: 12V" then you do NOT need the Willy cable; the green cable and the tip NB06 included in XP8000 package will work for you.

How do the XP8000 & XP18000 power a camcorder?

Although the XP8000 and XP18000 are designed specifically for netbooks and laptops, they are also able to power camcorders. You just need one of our Willy cables (a step-down cable) to lower the voltage rating to 8.4 volts for the most of camcorders; or to 9.3 volts for the some devices like the Panasonic HDC-SD100. You can find the Willy cable WI84 in the Tip Finder for the corresponding device.

Can I travel in a plane with my Energizer_® Power Pack?

Yes, Energizer Power Packs can be brought on an airplane. All Energizer Power Packs meet all international airline standard safety requirements.

Can my Energizer_® Power Pack be submerged in water?

NO! Energizer Power Packs are water resistant but will not survive if you accidentally submerge it in water.

Can I put Energizer Power Packs in the sun?

We do not recommend you leave your Energizer Power Packs exposed in the sun for long periods of time as exposure to extreme temperatures may reduce their functionality. Energizer Power Packs work well at temperatures between 32°- 113° F.

Are the Energizer Power Packs compatible for international usage?

Yes, all of Energizer Power Packs are compatible for international use, and do not require a power converter. AC Input of Power Packs vary between 100-240VAC and 47-63hz. However you may need an adapter wall plug to allow the U.S. style power cord to plug into a foreign wall outlet.

Can the Energizer Power Packs withstand extreme temperatures?

The Power Packs can withstand temperatures between 32°-113° F. We do not recommend leaving the Power Pack in a vehicle for long periods of time during the winter or summer months, as exposure to extreme temperatures may reduce their functionality.

Where do I find the model number of my cell phone?

The best place to look for your model number is to open up the battery compartment and remove the battery. It normally is located underneath the battery compartment.

My XP8000N did not come with an AC Adapter. How do I charge it?

The XP8000N comes with several different BB Tips that can be connected to the AC Adapter for your Netbook or Laptop and then connected to your Power Pack. This Tip should fit most AC Adapters and will sufficiently charge your Power Pack. If you would like to have an AC Adapter for your XP8000N, then you can purchase one at our online store at store.energizerpowerpacks.com.
